On Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 6:00, meet Steve Hjort of Eco-Resources Consulting and learn about the shoreline and habitat restoration project for Anthony Island. The Lake Sinissippi Improvement District will be holding the monthly meeting and invited Steve to present his company’s finding from the Anthony Island and Near-Shore Lakebed Assessment and Shoreline Restoration Plan. The report showed that Anthony Island has eroded between 27 to 68 feet since the 1940’s. He will explain different options to stop erosion and remove invasive plant species. The goal is to return Anthony Island to it’s native habitat and decrease further erosion.
